Nursery
St Conor’s Nursery Unit caters for 52 children on a part-time basis and is housed in a separate, self-contained building adjacent to the school.
Twenty six children attend the morning session from 8.45 - 11.15 am and twenty six children attend the afternoon session from 12.15 - 2.45 pm. There is a full-time teacher in-charge of the Nursery Unit and she is supported by a full-time Nursery Assistant. The Nursery Unit is an integral part of the main school and maintains close links with the school. The Nursery Unit has been specially adapted to cater for children with Special Needs.
Nursery Aims
St Conor’s Nursery aims to:
- provide a welcoming, caring and secure environment for children, parents and staff.
- provide quality learning experiences for each child taking account of individual needs, local and national curriculum guidelines.
- nurture feelings and encourage respect for self and others and develop confidence and self-esteem.
- develop positive attitudes towards the environment.
- provide opportunities to involve parents and the wider community in the life of the Nursery.
