Year 7 pupils visited the Ulster American Folk Park to enhance their knowledge and understanding of their study of the 'famine' and Victorian Ireland. They had to examine different types of evidence to find out and answer questions about the past and use a range of historical sources to gain an understanding of the causes and effects of famine. The children identified how Ireland’s identity and culture has been influenced by the famine.
