We wrote a letter to Santa on behalf of our classroom puppet, Sam. During the shared writing session we talked about some of the conventions of letter writing and the use of capital letters, spaces and full stops.We discussed what we would need to do if we wanted to post the letter to Santa. After writing the address on the envelope and adding a stamp,we enjoyed a lovely walk down to the nearby postbox.
