St Conor's Netball Tournament

13th Apr 2025
On Friday, it was with great pleasure that we held our 'St. Conor's PS Netball Tournament' in school. We were joined with teams from St Mary’s PS Killyclogher, Holy Family PS, Christ the King PS and St. Joseph's PS.
After a series of tight, enthralling games it was St Mary’s and St Conor’s ‘A’ that made it through to the final.
In a highly enjoyable and competitive final a hugely talented St Mary’s team emerged victorious over a very skilled and tenacious St Conor’s ‘A’ team.

Our tournament was a superb advertisement for interschool competitions and showcased the passion our young players have for netball.

We’d like to commend all the schools on how well they played and behaved on the day. Not only was the netball a joy to behold but the manners and respect towards the umpires and each other was also. Well done!

A huge thank you goes to Mrs Donaghy and Miss Scott from the Sacred Heart College Omagh for giving up their time and umpiring the matches expertly. Thank you also to the girls from Sacred Heart College that accompanied Mrs Donaghy and Miss Scott and assisted with scorekeeping and timing.

Tournaments like this do not happen without a significant amount of effort and preparation. A massive thank you to Mrs Mc Cain who, with assistance from Kerri-Anne 0’ Hagan, planned and organised our netball tournament, which again was a resounding success!

Congratulations to St. Mary's PS for winning and our own St Conor’s team who were runners-up!
