Saint Conor’s celebrate World Book Day 2022
Happy World Book Day!
Saint Conor’s Primary School & Nursery Unit was like a book shelf that had come to life today. Well done to all our our pupils who came to school dressed up as their favourite book characters. We have had a wonderful day in school celebrating World Book Day 2022.
Every classroom was very busy, with the pupils doing lots of fun activities for this important day, aimed at promoting a love for and a pleasure of reading.
A special word of thanks to Pauline Armstrong from Omagh Library for visiting the school today.Pauline read and entertained the younger pupils in Primary 1, 2 and 3 with some exciting new stories.
Pupils from our Year 7 classes took time out to mentor reading to the pupils in Primary1&2.This proved to be a very enjoyable experience for both teachers and children.
Throughout the week, We ran fun competitions and had daily discussions about our love of reading. Thank you to the parents and grandparents for their continued support in making World Book Day a great success. We hope you enjoy browsing the photographs below. More to follow.
