To celebrate the Eucharistic Congress St. Conor's staff and students came together and had a special assembly on Tuesday 12 June. We said the Congress Prayer together and sang the anthem of the 50th International Eucharistic Congress, Though We Are Many by Bernard Sexton.
The theme of the Eucharistic Congress 2012 is The Eucharist: Communion with Christ and with one another.
A Eucharistic Congress is an international gathering of people which aims to:

promote an awareness of the central place of the Eucharist in the life and mission of the Catholic Church

help improve our understanding and celebration of the liturgy

draw attention to the social dimension of the Eucharist.
The school foyer has been decorated for the occasion and children are learning about the significance of this special event in their Religion classes.
